Fighting over a pen together. Everyone told me not to interfere with their fighting and they would learn to work it out. Here is the progression. Last winter Sam learned to walk first and took toys away from Michael because he could. Then Michael learned to walk and began taking toys from Sam. Then Michael began pushing Sam to get toys away from him. Sam learned to push back and scream at insanely high pitches to get Michael to stop. Michael stopped and now negotiates by bringing one of Sam's favorite toys in to him hoping he'll lose interest in what ever he has that Michael wants. Seems to be working.

Michael puckering up to give Mommy a kiss through the bars at the playground. I wish I could say he came up with this on his own, but no, I taught him so I could get some sweet little baby kisses while he's busy playing. Sam does it too.
Sam reciting something very important or singing. Can't remember.
In synch swinging. This is their favorite thing to do. We tend to be at the park during off times somehow and they hog the swings for up to 30 minutes at a time. We are having a lot of fun!

Those pics are so cute!! I can't believe how big they are getting! Cute cute cute. Both are still on our "approved dating list" for Sophie - in 16 years, of course. ;)
I am amazed at how much they are growing and changing in the pictures. It seems fun for them to have each other. They're learning very young how to compromise,which is amazing. You're such a good Mommy. I wish we were there to see them play. We miss you all so much!
i love that you have just let them work things out... if we did that there would be bitemarks everywhere.
they really are so big! which makes me think that i still am sad that i never got to meet them in the flesh.
I hope you can continue to let them work things out on their own--my girls get so violent with each other it could be dangerous if I didn't intervene! They have had matching welts and bite marks many a time when I haven't gotten to them in time. Fun with twins!

Kristina!! They are so cute and big! I think Noah looks like a mixture of them both now. I wish so much we were there so they could all play together. Noah needs some little buddies to play with.

I've tried just standing by and watching Kai as he plays with friends. It's not easy to watch them fight and not jump in. I'm glad to see from your example that it does work. I usually get involved, and then avoid playing with that friend for a few days.
They are at my favorite age! I think I've enjoyed all of my nieces and nephews--possibly my own boy--the most at that age. They are so lucky to have each other, fighting or not! I want me a set of toddlers too!
Ok, I just read that back and it sounds like I've peaked and will never love my boy that much again...not really what I meant. Insert one of those cute feet from your background into my mouth!
I love that your boys have each other...and that it sounds like for the most part that they really enjoy being together! I love those moments when my kids are all getting along and playing together! It makes me want more...and then someone bites someone and they are all screaming and I wonder how I ended up with 3?
